Zenith introduced the Chronomaster collection in 1994, designed after the timepiece that first housed the legendary El Primero calibre, the world’s first automatic high-frequency chronograph calibre, in 1969. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic El Primero movement, Zenith have introduced a fully redesigned automatic El Primero 3600 column-wheel chronograph. This exceptional movement measures and displays 1/10th of a second. It beats at a frequency of an astounding 36,000vph and generates a power reserve of 60 hours. It drives the Zenith Chronomaster watches and select Defy models, featuring a stop-second mechanism for precise timekeeping.
